A quality binding that is very affordable. The cover is hardcover with an imitation leather exterior. The cover has the nice grainy texture of leather. It features square page corners and normal white paper pages. This is our lowest priced prayer book.
It measures 4 5/8" wide by 6" tall and 7/8" thick. 8-point type.
This volume now includes the Revised Common Lectionary replacing the former Sunday Eucharistic Lectionary. (The Daily Office Lectionary has not changed and it remains as it has been in this book.)
The Episcopal Church uses the prayer book during worship, in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, as well as during the Daily Offices of Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, and Compline. Episcopalians also value The Book of Common Prayer (prayer book) for daily private devotions and prayers.

I have always said that one joy of being an Episcopalian is that you never have to make anything up. Just look in the BCP. We ordered this personal size for the folks in the Journeys In Faith class, preparing for confirmation. They too are learning this reality. And it is a joy to have FAQs! (Oh yes, it's called the Cathecism here.) This version of BCP is just the right size for carrying about, and prompting the participants to do so, thus it gets used. The Episcopal Bookstore was just great about getting it to us quickly.

I wanted an imprinted prayer book to give a new Episcopalian for Christmas but was ordering too close to the printer's deadline. I couldn't afford rush fees, so told the staff that I would just give it to my friend after Xmas in Epiphany. But then, with no extra charge, the imprinted book appeared on my doorstep on Christmas Eve. This means that several people made a very special effort. Thank you! It was a wonderful surprise and a blessing.

These lovely folks are just the best. Delivery was lightning-fast, and the Book of Common Prayer that I ordered from them was beautiful. They also had the best prices and the greatest selection I found online. They went the extra mile, writing a personal thank-you on my receipt. I cannot too highly recommend them.

Good edition, but too small. I've ordered the larger edition.

Here's a challenge: draft a critical review of a prayer book. My Muslim friends, when purchasing a Quran, are careful to bargain only over the price of the cover, as no one can sell the words of Allah. Similarly, I shall review only the format and utility of the Personal Size Book of Common Prayer (BCP).
This volume is approximately half the size of the standard pew version BCP -- convenient for carrying and use. As a licensed Lay Reader, I find having this size copy valuable at home when called upon to prepare for a service. The text is highly readable, in spite of being a smaller font than the standard text. Sturdy, readable, convenient -- what more positive comments can one make?
